What is CBD?
CBD, Cannabidiol, is a chemical compound found in cannabis sativa, a plant species that includes both cannabis and hemp plants. It is just one of over 100 cannabinoids extracted from hemp.
What is Full Spectrum?
Full Spectrum means full hemp plant extraction and contains all beneficial compounds. Cannabidiol (CBD) AND all the natural plant proteins and fatty compounds are captured. Contains < 0.3% THC.
What are the differences between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolate CBD?
Full Spectrum = whole plant extraction, includes cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids from entire plant, contains < 0.3% THC (trace amounts)
Broad Spectrum = whole plant extraction, includes cannabinoids and terpenes from entire plant, all THC has been removed.
Isolate = pure cannabidiol (CBD) – does not contain other cannabinoids, terpenes or other plant compounds. Everything is removed, except CBD.
What is hemp seed oil?
Hemp seed oil is the oil pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant. It is rich in polyunsaturated omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. This is not CBD.
What is CBG?
CBG, Cannabigerol, is known as the “mother” of cannabinoids. Using cannabinoids together can increase their effectiveness through a phenomenon called Entourage Effect.
What is Entourage Effect?
Entourage Effect is a term used to describe the enhanced effects of multiple compounds working in synergy. A blend of cannabinoids often produces a more desired effect.
What are the US laws regarding hemp derived CBD?
In 2018 the US Congress passed and signed into law the Agriculture Improvement Act. This law removed hemp from the Federal Controlled Substances Act, effectively legalizing industrial hemp that has tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of no more than 0.3%.
